Airway management skills are extremely important to any doctor in any specialty. Airway assessment
and management is part of resuscitation protocols and can help save lives. COVID-19 pandemic has
taught us the importance of airway management, where tracheal intubations were perfori1sed under
extreme conditions of hypoxaeiiiia. The importance of attaining such skills in now considered
essential for any health care professional.
AIDAA had developed Airway management guidelines for Linanticipated difficult tracheal intubation
in Adults, Obstetrics, Paediatrics, COVID-19 patients, Tracheal intubation in Intensive care and
Anticipated difficult extubation to assist practitioners in taKing patient decisions under specific
circumstances. AIRWAY journal, an official publication of AIDAA, was an initiative taken to
encourage research and provide a platform to showcase novel original ideas.
AIDAA further envisages to educate and train health care professionals in skills to use newer
airway devices and techniques to enhance patient safety and improve outcome. AIDAA requests you to
become a part of this endeavour and solicits your participation in percolating the knowledge and
skills in airway management to the grass root level in the Indian healthcare sector.
