International Survey on Airway Education

wamm logo

Airway management is the clinical skill that best defines our specialty. Poor performance has devastating consequences to all parties involved, yet we know very little about what is taught, how skills are acquired and how such skills are assessed and updated. You are being asked to complete this brief anonymous survey in an effort to assist us in obtaining such information. Your participation is entirely voluntary. Participation will constitute your implied consent. It is estimated that it will take at most 5-10 minutes to complete this survey.

The same survey is being administered to anesthesiologists and other health care professionals who are charged with airway management throughout North America, South America, Europe, the United Kingdom, India, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. The results will be presented at an educational panel at The World Airway Management Meeting 2015 (www.WAMM2015.com) in Dublin. Panelists from these areas will be reviewing the findings from their respective geographic regions to determine what each can learn from the others. We sincerely hope that you will assist us in this important effort.

*One respondent who has completed the questionnaire will have their WAMM 2015 registration fee refunded (not including workshops, breakfast sessions, social events, travel or accommodation). The winning entry will be drawn at random and every entry will be treated equally. NO alternative prize will be offered. In the event that the “winning” respondent is not attending WAMM 2015, a second email will be drawn and so on until a delegate is found to whom the refund can be awarded. Similarly if an invalid email address (or no email address) is provided, a further respondent will be drawn and this process will be repeated until a valid email is found. No correspondence can be entered into regarding the draw, however the winning recipient will be announced at WAMM 2015.
